The future of kitchens

The style of your kitchen will change, even if the layout is the same. Kitchens could be even more minimalistic in the future. This includes clean colour schemes, a lack of clutter and smart storage. There will be room for traditional elements like solid wooden worktops as they add a touch of warmth to an otherwise sterile space.

Doorless refrigerators

The refrigerator was one of the most important innovations in the 20th century. Although compression systems were invented in the 19th century, refrigerators did not appear in kitchens until the beginning of the 20th.

The future will focus on energy savings and food waste reduction. Modern fridges are notorious for storing food in a closed compartment. We often forget about the chicken that is hidden behind yoghurts until it’s no longer edible.

There is now a concept for a doorless refrigerator. All food is visible in transparent containers so it’s easy to see what you have. The cooling system in the wall ensures that each container stays at its ideal temperature, ensuring fresh food for longer.

Energy-efficient appliances

Energy conservation is a major concern for every home and in life as a whole. Appliances need to become smarter.

The days of the fridge freezer that hummed in the corner are gone. Appliances must now meet certain standards, and future appliances will be designed so that they use as little power as possible. For Kitchen Refurbishment, visit thekitchenrefurbishmentcompany.co.uk/

Clever rubbish collection

We are a long way behind in recycling and waste management here in the UK. We’re not in touch with waste management in our kitchens where the majority of waste is generated. There will be more intelligent recycling units. All organic waste can easily be transferred to compost. Glass, plastic, card, paper and any other material that you can think of, will have its own bin. Odours will be addressed.

Reusing water

You will most likely find two sinks in the kitchen of tomorrow. Each one will be used for a different type of waste water. You don’t have to drain all the water down the plughole. You can separate your waste water into two sinks to avoid wasting water. Water used to wash hands can be recycled into your system and used in your dishwasher.

Smart worktops

You can place a food item on your smart counter and instantly get information about it, including a recipe. It is a way to reduce food waste. Worktops in the future can still be made from the same materials as today, such as laminate, acrylic, and solid wood, but a thin smart screen that displays all kinds of information without a handheld device may be added to the surface.
